WARNING: Do not move the Magic Map as the red arrow will then not point to the correct location. Beware of using the Magic tools (such as 'Where am I?') as these may move the map. Only use the '+' and '-' buttons to zoom to your required zoom level.

To find details about any coloured zone you see click the 'i' button in the Feature Tools pane and then click on the zone. This will then tell you what the zone is (such as SSSI or Woodland Trust). Please click here for more details on how to control the Magic map.

The map now defaults to a WGS84 projection as this allows the 'Where am I?' tool to report WGS84 compatible coordinates. This projection gives a slightly distorted view. If you wish to view the map in the OSGB36 projection then select WGS84 in the drop down and then OSGB36 in the drop down. The WGS84 selection is required due to a bug in the Magic Map.
